Our Instructors
Chris Ridabock Jr.
Director of Curriculum
Mr. Ridabock started
Taekwondo at the age of 13 and has trained at
the highest levels in the US, Canada , and
Korea. His background in Taekwondo was
paralleled in education and he worked for the
Toronto District School Board developing and
supervising After4 programs and sport specific
summer camps.
After a long competitive
career , Mr. Ridabock opened Chae Dae Martial
Arts Academy in the mid 90's. Already providing
Taekwondo instruction for the T.D.S.B. for
years, he continued to develop a modern approach
to teaching Taekwondo that built on strategic
thinking and a core focus on fundamentals.
Many of his original students have gone on to
become national and international champions, but
many more have gone on to be successful in their
own goals outside of Taekwondo.
He's come to lead the
curriculum at STK after making a successful
transition to corporate and technical real
estate. Mr. Ridabock currently heads his own
consulting firm and serves as a negotiator for
large corporate data centre transactions for
clients such as AT&T Corporation,
PricewaterhouseCoopers, and CIBC World Markets.
"After dedicating myself to
Taekwondo for so many years, transitioning into
highly charged corporate arena gave me a new
perspective on the value and benefit of martial
arts." he says. “My experience gave me the
inner strength to differentiate myself in a
competitive industry and also the confidence to
develop a new business model that is at the core
of my company today . The mental focus and
strategic thinking I gained from martial arts
translated directly into success when I entered
a highly charged business environment ".
Michael
Sue-Ho
Instructor
School’s Out Program Director
Mr. Sue-Ho has been involved
in the martial arts since 1984. He began
studying as a family activity, taking Taekwondo
lessons together with his single-parent mother.
“Martial Arts are about balance, knowledge and
an open mind,” he says,” but also about respect,
honesty, and integrity. Taekwondo taught me to
set goals and commit to achieving them”. Mr.
Sue-Ho has expanded on his balance of Martial
Arts by undertaking studies in Shotokan Karate
and Jiu-Jitsu, as well as boxing and kickboxing.
“Michael’s interaction with kids is phenomenal”
, Mr. Ridabock says. “He’s like a cheerleader
for regular people. Of course I’m joking,
but really, his positive energy is infective.
Most importantly, he’s an outstanding Black Belt
and instructor. His involvement in the classes
and After4 program guarantee an exciting and
positively charged environment.”
Mr. Sue-Ho’s greatest passion is helping
others and martial arts have been a superb
vehicle for that. “I like to think of it
as achieving excellence in life through martial
arts.” He says, “ Taekwondo and Karate is
for everyone, regardless of age, gender, and
physical ability. The feeling associated with
helping someone achieve their personal goal is
the best reward, better than any medal I ever
won”.
Sarah
Munro
Instructor
Miss Munro started Taekwondo with Mr. Ridabock
at age 10 and went on to become a champion black
belt, winning Ontario, Canadian Junior and
Senior National Championships. As a Canadian
National team member she competed all over the
world and won a Bronze medal in the Pan Am
Games.
Miss Munro calls Stouffville home., where she is
a supervisor for an area group home that assists
people with developmental disabilities, so she
is very familiar with the power of positive
energy!
She brings that energy to STK – positive,
bright, fun and friendly teaching style that
shows students they can achieve their goals if
they focus and apply themselves.
“I love the simplicity of martial arts”, Sarah
says ,” you can break down complex concepts to
where it’s fun, interactive and teaches self
discipline and self reliance. Even though it’s
an individual pursuit, the team building
environment at STK really appeals to me.
Taekwondo builds your confidence where you
really feel like you can accomplish anything in
life”.

we really like the physical fitness part.
